We are looking for 2 Sr. Level DB2 DBA’s who can thrive in a team environment, working on an indefinite Contract. If you’re the sort of DBA who seems to be able to do everything that everyone else either doesn't want to do, or doesn't have the ability to do. And if you seem to have a knack for figuring out all of the things no one else can figure out … you may be our man/woman. We have an excellent team in place, but need at least two more DB2 DBA's to help us ramp up for an enormous project ERP Project.
This process will move quickly in brining you on board if you are a disciplined DBA with enterprise / distributed experience. I am especially interested in someone who is comfortable with Developing plans, building and maintaining overall architecture, and developing physical file system layouts plans.
Our interview process is based on real world experiences and scenarios. We want to know about your experience planning and executing database major and minor upgrades (including security patches). We want to know about your history of preparing and maintaining database operational procedure documentation. And whether or not you are comfortable building and maintaining overall systems architecture concerning databases back-end servers and computing environment (including systems integration)? Can you and help with assessing the database technologies? How do you ensure all data can be recovered in the event of systems failures? Have you ever created data archival solutions to meet data retention requirements? We want to know if being a DBA is your passion.
