Boys Hope Girls Hope is a unique, private scholarship program continually seeking residential counselors to work with the dynamic youth participating in the long-term program to expand their horizons and graduate college. The youth are promising students who want to accomplish greatness but were previously impeded by the environment around them. Each staff member is responsible for working with a team to produce an environment of achievement, meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the young women or men, teach social and independent living skills, expose the youth to new opportunities and activities, guide youth in college preparation and educational attainment, build relationships with families and volunteers and maintain a healthy and responsible environment through discipline, organization and systems. Live-in staff are provided private, furnished living quarters, and meals at no cost, in addition to financial compensation. Live-out positions must have flexibility to work evenings, weekends, overnights, and/or mornings. Part time positions must have the flexibility to work different days, including weekends, holidays, etc. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and will have a Bachelors degree from an accredited school in social work, psychology, counseling, education, or a related field, and the equivalent of one year full time work with a similar population. A high school diploma is acceptable if you have at least two years full time experience with a similar population. A valid driver's license is also required.
