We are looking for an experienced application developer to join our Professional Services team as an Application Consultant, to design, develop, and test customer-specific applications for our Liberation 6000 System.
The Application Consultant will gather the requirements and create the design documentation of the Liberation Application Solution, described in terms of the customer¡¦s business rules and needs.The design must be sufficiently detailed to allow collaborative development with team members. The Application Consultant will work with Sales Engineering before and after the sale to understand what was communicated during the sales process and to create the Application Design Document.This document will be used by the Application Consultant or team members to develop the application solution.
In addition, this position is responsible for interacting with the customer to gather requirements, act as a business process consultant, write the design document, and when required, the communications interface between the customer and the Application Engineer.
Essential Responsibilities
Designing and developing custom application solutions that include a custom desktop application, reporting package, and database utilities.Software components used to develop the solution:
-Microsoft SQL Data Transformation Services and query language
-Microsoft Access with Visual Basic
-TeleDirect proprietary 4GL development environment
Required Experience:
-Relational Database Design
-Microsoft SQL programming experience, including stored procedures, triggers, and DTS packages.
-Microsoft Visual Basic or Visual .Net experience
-Program or application design
-Software Consulting
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to travel frequently within the U.S. and Canada
-Must live within daily commutable distance to North Scottsdale, Arizona
Preferred Experience:
-Experience with XML
-Experience with Crystal Report Development Environment
-Experience with Microsoft Project
Other Requirements:
-This position requires ability to work individually and as a member of a development team. Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
-This position requires travel between 25% - 75%
